Antenna Software: smack in the middle of an Android, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry world

Antenna Software, a vendor of software and services for building, rolling out and managing mobile applications, Tuesday is announcing the beta release of its Antenna Mobility Platform (AMP), which brings together the company's expertise in software-as-a-service with 2009 acquisition Dexterra's primarily behind-the-firewall mobile apps technology. New in Version 3.0 is support for Android devices and the iPhone (Antenna recently announced additional enterprise iPhone support via a deal with AT&T) and improved tools for quickly developing cross-platform mobile apps. Antenna is looking for AMP 3.0 to support business-to-employee apps, but also what it calls business-to-business-to-customer ones. All of which gives Antenna an interesting viewpoint of the action-packed smartphone and mobile apps scene. Here's what Antenna CEO Jim Hemmer had to say about some of the latest issues.
